SO.............
I have been hemming and hawing for a few days now whether to post or not to post, but after today I feel I MUST post. Last week we were called and told that we were matched! We were so excited...for the last 5 days I have been so stressed out...after today...I am more at ease. We have a fabulous birth mother who has chosen us! She found us on the Internet, on a website that I found a few months ago and spent all night that night deciding if I should post there or not...glad I listened to my little voice called God...can you stand it! We are expecting our daughter to arrive on or around August 4th. That is about 8 weeks away, but we are all hoping she comes sooner. I hope this for a number of reasons...I hope this because I am selfish and want my daughter home! I hope this, because I know that our Birth Mother is so uncomfortable with this heat! I hope this because we have waited so long for our baby to arrive. But I know the longer she stays inside the better.
I know most people don't announce this type of news until it is closer. But you know how I feel about the power for prayer. We know that God has us in his sights and knows we are ready and I now know it is for sure in his time, but will remain cautiously optomistic! We had a wonderful conversation today, our birth mother is beautiful, smart, funny, easy going and not a selfish person. I am so honored to have her as our birth mother I could cry OH and I have! She has a very good head on her shoulders and is very healthy. We have prayed and prayed...I have heard everything He has said to me and followed through with it. They say you should go with your gut feeling. All of the failed placements we have had...I have never had this feeling. It is an amazing feeling.
It is now my mission to help all my friends who are still waiting for their babies to come home. If you need suggestions on what to do please email me. I was touched by adoption 35yrs. and 11 months ago when I was born into a family that adopted a bi racial baby boy in 1969. I knew from the time I could think about being an adult that I wanted to adopt. I knew that I wanted to be that special family...because families who adopt are special. The most amazing thing is we are all adopted by the Lord. I wanted to share this with you so you can have the faith that it does and it will happen to those who TRUELY want it. Stick with it...it will happen...in his time! Hugs and Blessings
